Community Food Pantry

Our next Community Food Pantry USDA Food Distribution is Friday, December 8th Join us as we work together with volunteers from other churches to provide food for persons in our community. Help us unload the NN Food Bank truck and prepare bags Thursday from 8:30 to 11 am.

Help us welcome guests and carry bags for them on Friday from 7:45am – 12.  Your giving and hard work make a big difference in the lives of hundreds of people in our community each month.  God uses this ministry to make an impact here where we live.  In February, we provided food for 340 persons in our community.

Love Wednesday

Some of the groups we have recognized are

- Teachers

- Grocery store workers

- Prison workers

- Bay Transit

Angel Tree

Warsaw UMC has been doing Prison Fellowship Angel Tree for 20 years. It is an outreach program on behalf of prisoners whose children might not have any presents from one or both parents because they are incarcerated.

We receive information from Prison Fellowship and contact the caregivers to verify the information. We like to give each child 3 gifts - a book of some interest to the child to encourage reading, a piece of clothing such as a sweatshirt, coat, sweater, gloves, etc., and a toy or gift appropriate for the age and gender.

This year we are blessed to serve 26 children. These gifts are NOT from us to the children but from the parents to their children. We are just the hands, feet and wallets of Christ on behalf of the Parent. Please help share the joy of Christmas with these children.

We also take part in Operation Christmas Child, Prayer Shawl gifts, Operation Inasmuch, and others.

We are committed to Christ through being a very real part of this community in Little League, County Fair, the Christmas Parade, The Daily, the Town Park, and more.
