WELCOMING YOU HOME
Dear beloved disciples of Warsaw United Methodist Church,
I greet you in the name of our Triune God. I hope and pray that all of you are safe and healthy as we continue to navigate through this pandemic together. I am writing this to you because finally we have good news, and we want you all to know!
November 1, 2020, Warsaw United Methodist Church will be reopening for In-Person Worship Service at 11 AM.
Before I say more, I want to express my gratitude to Mr. Rick Cox, the chair of the Healthy Church Team, and the members of Warsaw UMC Council. With their faithful works and contributions, our church was approved by the district to be re-opened.
I understand that some of you are more eager to come back to church than others. However, I’d like to sincerely express that our church wants everyone to be safe and healthy. When I went to Princeton, I saw a bumper sticker that I still remember. It said, “Faith Journey is not a guilt trip.” I absolutely agree with it. Thus, if you do not feel comfortable coming back to our church during the Pandemic, please stay home. We will still provide our on-line worship service via our church Facebook page.
As a faith community and a loving community, let us be considerate of others. If you choose to come back to our church, please bring your own mask and wear it covering your mouth and nose the entire time. Please also practice social distancing at all times.
To be in compliance with the guidelines of the Virginia Annual Conference, we put away any booklets (Hymnals, Bibles etc.) from the sanctuary and will use our projector to provide information and guidance. The Virginia Annual Conference also requires each person returning to church to complete a Registration Form (linked below) before they return. We will have ushers and greeters to guide you when you get to our church. Please plan to stop by the Registration Table at the front entrance each time you come to church to check in. They will do the following:
(1) Collect Registration Forms.
(2) Ask a few questions regarding your health.
(3) Check your temperature.
(4) Guide you to your seat in the sanctuary.
(5) Dismiss you after the service.
Please be patient as you await their guidance. If you have not completed a Registration Form (Linked Below), we will have them available at the Registration Table. Plan to arrive a little early to go through check-in. Also, enter and exit ONLY through the main entrance. Do not use the kitchen or side entrances since these areas of the church remain closed at this time.
November is just around the corner. The season of Thanksgiving is approaching. I am grateful for the many faithful disciples of Warsaw United Methodist Church who made reopening possible. I hope and pray that all of you are well, and I am excited to see you back in our church. Let’s continue to go through our faith journey together in our own settings, praising God, once again as a body of Christ. I Hope to see all of you!
Blessings, Rev. Terry K. Eum
We hope everyone is remaining safe and well as we go through this strenuous time. Due to the risk of spreading COVID-19, we shall be hosting our church services online and canceling events until further notice. Until the disease has died down please join us and follow our Facebook page as we stream our service at 11:00 am on Sundays and live stream chats with the Pastor on Wednesday at 11:00 am.
Remember in order to stay safe and help lessen the spread of the virus to wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds, cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing, avoid touching your face, and if possible stay home and practice social distancing. When going out in public be sure to properly wear your face masks. We wish everyone good health in these times.
