 Betty Jo Sims welcomes all to Warsaw UMC

Betty Jo was born in Radford, VA, and grew up in Statesville, NC, near Charlotte. She earned a BA degree from East Carolina University in Mathematics and Art. She holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from VCU. Her Divinity Certification is from Duke University.


Her call to ministry is her second career. She was appointed to serve Mizpah UMC in Walkerton in 2005. She was appointed to serve McKendree UMC in Manquin/ Aylett in 2017. She is in her 18th year of appointment as a United Methodist pastor.

Warsaw UMC has service on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Sunday school will be held at 9:00 a.m.  

We are a BRIDGE Church--a bridge to a new home for members of disaffiliated churches .

  • Wearing of mask in our church settings is not required at this time

  • Unvaccinated persons should continue to wear masks for both their own protection and those around them

  • No temperature checks or interview questions will be required

  • We may again sing, and use the hymnal, songbooks, Bibles and and offering envelopes


Prayer Group - Monday at 5:30 pm

Choir Practice - Wednesday at 6:30 pm

Food Pantry:

    First Friday after the first Thursday of each month from 8 am- 11am.  Next  Distribution June 7, 2024

The United Methodist Church believes God's love for the world is an active and engaged love, a love seeking justice and liberty. According to our United Methodist beliefs, we cannot just be observers. Join us at 10:00 every Sunday as we worship together. All are welcome at Christ's table. 





Come, get connected with us. We have plenty of options for everyone of all ages to feel involved in the church. Join us for bible studies, mission days, and fun family-orientated events. Get involved and become a part of our groups for men, women, youth, and children.   




Join us as we work on giving back to our community. Help us give back to others by helping out with the Community Food Pantry, Love Wednesday, and other mission projects going on at the church.
