Community Food Pantry

Our next Community Food Pantry USDA Food Distribution is Friday, September 8th Join us as we work together with volunteers from other churches to provide food for persons in our community. Help us unload the NN Food Bank truck and prepare bags Thursday from 8:30 to 11 am. Help us welcome guests and carry bags for them on Friday from 7:45am – 12.  Your giving and hard work make a big difference in the lives of hundreds of people in our community each month.  God uses this ministry to make an impact here where we live.  In August we provided food for 493 persons in our community. In 2016, we distributed 70 tons of food.

United Methodist Women

Our monthly UMW meetings will resume on September 12, but with a new start time. PLEASE NOTE: we will start at 1:00 pm rather than noon. The executive committee decided lunch meetings would not be practical while the fellowship hall is set up for worship, so eat lunch before you come.  Our program will be on Maternal and Child Health, presented by District Social Action Coordinator Vicky Butler. We will have the program first, break for fellowship and refreshments, and then reconvene the business meeting. We hope all members will come to this important meeting, both to learn more about our social action priority, and to help us plan for the rest of the year.
